Context
This was a 2 days challenge. So the situation was:
Mr. Maier was at a business lunch with colleagues and service contractors. He received a bill which he wants to get reimbursed. To do this, the current process is to fill in a form that you can download on the intranet, print it out, scan the receipt and forward both via post to the accounting office.
Challenge
Create an easy-to-use solution that facilitates the reimbursed process.
- It is mandatory to differentiate between internal and external participants;
- The bill has to be somehow captured and saved so that traceability is established;
- Further participants of the lunch have to be named;
- Sketch the interface for the app;
- Navigation concept;
- Define at least three user journeys.
Nowadays, the Daimler AG employees worldwide have a painful refurbished process with so many steps.
Taking care of company employees is the first brand concern.
So meeting their needs and ensuring that good experiences come from the inside to outside.
Persona
Based on the target information and some online research I create 2 types of personas:
Mrs Taylor is single and has 2 dogs. She started to work at Daimler in 2018 for her PhD thesis. Her ecological ideas gave her some projection between the workers. She enjoys spending her weekend with her dogs at the park. She prefers digital apps to organize her data, rather than wasting time with paper management.
Mr Maier is married and has 2 twin sons. He started to work at Daimler in 2009 a s an intern; for his dedication he grew up to Project Manager. He is a busy man with several meetings. He likes to meet interesting people who challenge to innovate.Getting the time to do everything he proposes is a daily challenge. Finding a way to avoid bureaucracies and organize his tasks in digital form is his goal.

I decided to do an investigation based on competition direct and indirect, and some inspirational apps.
Wireframes
Based on the requirements I started to do paper wireframes. In this way I can explore different possible solutions for the Daimler AG employees problem.
User Task and App Flow
User Journey
The present process of Daimler AG employees could be analyzed based on the steps. Mrs Maier needs 5 painful steps to be reimbursed ( He goes to daimler website, downloads and prints the catering form, fills it and sends it by mail.
The new process Mrs Maier only needs 3 easy steps: With the app installed in your mobile, he takes a photo and the most part of the information is automatic fill (finished if it was necessary) and sent.
